Cohort 1 Programming

This is the introduction session of the program where the participants learn of the purpose of the program and the get to know each other in the process. Their is a part on communication skills meant to help with setting expectations on the mentorship session experience and understanding challenges they face communicating in the outside world and strategies around them.

This module addresses the psychological and emotional dimensions of motherhood. Participants explore the relationship between self-perception, emotional resilience, and their capacity to navigate the challenges of early parenthood. The module provides structured opportunities to identify personal strengths, recognize emotional patterns, and build the foundational self-awareness needed for both personal well-being and effective parenting.

This module teaches two separate things: skills for the everyday ups and downs of relationships, safety for when a relationship turns harmful and captures on sensitive issues like Gender Based Violence, Forced Marriages etc. One cannot prevent, manage, or fix another person’s violence by changing how she behaves. If a relationship is abusive, the goal is safety, not better communication.

These sessions guide participants through the key stages of pregnancy, preparation for birth, and postpartum family planning. They equip teenage mothers with accurate health information, practical planning tools, and an understanding of their options as they transition into and through early parenthood.

These sessions prepare participants to navigate professional environments with greater competence and confidence. They examine how strategic thinking, negotiation skills, and critical and creative reasoning apply directly to workplace situations, equipping the mothers with practical tools for employment decision making, conflict resolution, and long-term career planning.

Participants will learn how to use technology and social media to promote their skills, attract clients, and grow their income-generating ventures through practical, hands-on illustrations and activities in the session
